WHY THERE'S SO MUCH, MUCH MORE TO GIBRALTAR

Held in genuine affection by the British -- once an exotic wartime posting for many who previously had not set foot outside the UK -- it's easy to believe that we know all there is to know about Gibraltar. And there is, after all, so much that's pleasantly familiar.

For a start, it's a terrific, healthy place to live or take a break, with a perfect Mediterranean climate that guarantees wonderful summers and balmy winters.
